NEWS - REQUESTS

NOTE: requests are closed for the time being as I'm going to upload the following items. I'll eventually make a new "requests" post!

Here's what I'm going to post:

- First SMiLE show
- Deep Sea Treasures Vol. 1&2
- Stereo Smiley Smile (I'll have to check if the version I have is more than 128 kbps, though)

While you're at it, check the Legendary Masked Surfers board for new "compilation boots" made by DJole. I recommend them for completists (they might contain stuff you haven't heard yet) and for those who want to start collecting unreleased music!

Hello again! No, I haven't forgotten about my promise - I intend to begin posting stuff again. The problem is,
I don't know what to post! So I'm asking for your ideas, or even better, your requests. The rules are simple:

1) Post your request in the comments, just under this message;
2) No reuploads!
(if you see it in the list on the right of your screen, I won't reupload it, at least not right now);
3) Keep the requests BB/BW-related
(the Honeys are ok, the latest episode of How I Met Your Mother, less so!)
4) No stuff that can easily be bought new in stores.

If I have it, I'll post it!

Hi,
do you have a 2008 or 2009 Mike & Bruce show?

P.S. your site is great! ;)

Hi, does your " friend" who supplied the Live at The Sage, Gateshead have Brian Wilson , Live at The Roundhouse, London ,3.9.09?
Like your site, glad to have you back.

Recent Mike & Bruce shows that aren't available on other sites would be great! Also, any of Al's recent shows, if possible.

Concert of late 70's at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. It was broadcast on WIOQ and there must be a copy somewhere. Bruce did an impromptu "Disney Girls" instead of "I Write The Songs" during his solo. The band was at its best.

Are there any concerts besides the Paramount Theater show (and rehearsals) available from the 1993unplugged/box set tour? I'd love to hear more of these!

Hello mate, nice to see you up & runnin' again!
Here's what I'm lookin' for - it's that TV movie from 1990:
"Summer Dreams: The Story of the Beach Boys"
I don't mind in what format you have it...as long as you're willin' to share it!
Cheers buddy!
DJole

P.S. I will have some interesting (never seen boots) to share in near future, just need some time to upload it, so if you're interested I could send you the links once I'm done?!?

Hi
Always loved your site. Audio of Brian's Glastonbury Festival appearance from 2007 (I think 2007?) would be very much appreciated. I was there, the first time I'd seen any of the Beach Boys. I was overwhelmed by it all!

I'd love to hear a decent stereo version of Smiley Smile, as the one I have is 128kbps, boo!

I don't have much "live" stuff, I'm more interested in studio recordings. But I do have a few things that have been requested:

- First SMiLE show
- Deep Sea Treasures Vol. 1&2
- Time To Get Alone
- Stereo Smiley Smile (I'll have to check if the version I have is more than 128 kbps, though)

NOTE: requests are closed for the time being as I'm going to upload the aforementioned items. I'll eventually make a new "requests" post!

@ DJole: thanks a lot for the heads-up!

Hi,
how can I get access to the Legendary Masked Surfers board?

Linear Zap said...

Check the links on the right side of the screen (under "Other cool links", and click on "Legendary Masked Surfers (New)".

If you're not a member of this board, you'll have to register!

I can't find the "Time To Get Alone" bootleg, it might have been one of the things that I lost when my hard drive crashed. Sorry :/

(I'll post it if I find it, but I doubt it... But if I remember correctly it didn't contain "exclusive tracks"... All tracks can be found on other boots)

The Legendary Masked Summer Board is no longer accepting new members (as far as I can tell). Can anyone help a Brian Wilson/Beach Boys fanatic out?

Please, please, please - a Mike and Bruce show (Manchester, April 2009). It is DEFINITELY out there, just haven't seen it...cheers Zander

It might be out there, but unfortunately I don't have it :/

I'd really like to hear the Soul Searching Brian Wilson/Andy Paley recordings! Keep up the great work...

Searching for the Leggo My Ego set in flac from the Vigotone/Spank in 1995. Mainly Pet Sounds sessions but interesting stuff. A torrent was posted last year but had missing tracks and wrong track times. Still looking for it after 10 years!
Thanks for a great site.

How about the Neilytone (a Purple Chick subsidiary) Brian Wilson title:

NT-56/57 BRIAN WILSON - Soundboard SMiLE

I understand it is Smile done at Carnegie Hall, NYC.

And the great Brian Wilson "Sweet Insanity" which I understand is available with extra tracks.
