BW - The Christmas Song

Sorry for the lack of updates - my studies just don't leave me enough time. But I'll be back some day to share the rest of my collection with you, I promise! ;)

Anyway, here's "The Christmas Song" from BW's website, so you don't need to record it.

Before you start complaining about the "crappy" (128k) quality, let me say that I didn't record it - I grabbed it directly from BW's website. The thing you hear on his site is a 128k mp3!

Here's the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/xxgy2a

Enjoy, and merry Christmas to you and your families! :D

  2. I have, and I have to say that this isn't a bad cover. The intro is especially interesting!

  3. I think that I'll make a last try and maybe I'll get a long awaited Christmas present :-)
Does anyone know if there is any download available of TLOS presentation on Friday 14th sept. 2007? I've seen all the others except this one, which is the one I attended!
Anyway, merry christmas and love and mercy for 2009!!!

  4. The two TLOS RFH shows that are missing are the 14/9/07 (the one you attended) and the 11/9/07 (the one I attended!).

As far as I know, the "11" hasn't even been recorded (I wanted to do it but there's been a problem with my recording device).

On the other hand, I know that the "14" has been recorded by the same guy who recorded the "10", "12" & "15", but he said the sound quality wasn't as good, and I don't think he's posted the show on the internet.

But you could try to contact him: he goes by the name "Davey" on the guitars101.com forum. (you'll have to register though - I'll try asking him about it too)

  8. By the way: Davey (aka "The TLOS guy") has answered my question, and told me that he would try uploading the 14/09/2007 TLOS show after the holidays.

Thanks to him! ...And I'll post the links on this blog when he uploads them.

  11. Hello Linear Zap,

Thanks a lot for posting this. I always try to collect anything new by Brian before it vanishes. You bloggers do good work for the fans.

By the way, have you heard of the Brian Wilson tape dating from 1972 where he sings and plays Sussie Cincinatti and Daddy Dear?

  16. Hello, it is really a shame how I didn´t suspect that a wonderful site like this existed!

Thanks a lot for your great work, for the great Beach Boys music you offered to us.
By the way, do you know if there are recordings available - must in the way of the truly wonderful Unsurpassed Masters - relative to the Sunflower/Surf´s Up era?
    Best Regards and again, thanks!

  17. Stuff from the Sunflower/Surf's Up era is available, but as far as I know there isn't a "bootleg set" dedicated to that era.

    I know, I know, it's a shame!

I think I have most of the boots that contain recordings from that era... What I *haven't* is enough time to bring all the relevant recordings together for you and others to download. :/

But I should have more time in 3 months!

  18. Hi!
Fantastic blog. I was wondering if you could post mp3's of the TLOS bonus tracks that are up on brianwilson.com (message man, etc).
    Much appreciated!

  19. Hi Ben,

Unfortunately, my "blog policy" prevents me from posting stuff that can be "legally" bought :/

*BUT* if you really want to get them without paying, here's what you can do: clean the "temporary files" folder of your web browser, then listen to all the tracks on bw.com, and then search your temporary files folder for audio files... ;)

  20. Oh, to hell with the policy - I'll post the tracks anyway, but in this "comments" section ;)
